One of the pantomime traditions for the Burnham & Highbridge Pantomime Society is the giving of gifts at the end of the production.
Being the director for many years now my wife quite often struggles to find nice small items for gifting as a thank you.
This year she asked if I could design a keyring gift for to give to each of the cast, crew, helpers and volunteers who made the production possible.
This was the first time I have massed produced a keyring and due to the fact that she wanted them to be double sided a special jig was made to ensure that the engraving for multiple items lined up properly for both sides of the 50 keyrings produced.

Custom Light Lantern gift.
For Katie the assistant producer and also the principle who was to play Aladdin she wanted me to design and build a custom lantern for her. Having made many different types of lanterns previously I wanted to come up with a design for a box which was different to everything already available in the store and something I could potentially use. as a base for some more product ideas in future.
The final design consisted of two panels with a living hinge to form a nice box with rounded corners on which the small panels could be engraved or cut.
The slated lines that make up the living hinge allowing the plywood to bend and form a corner also allows for some light to escape adding to the charm of the box.
